Does PressGlance work with my printers?
PressGlance is brand-independent and reads the status straight from the printer, over the network and with no extra software on the printer. How much detail you see, such as jobs or the exact panel message, depends on what your printer reports. Send us your make and model and we'll confirm in advance what you'll get.
Where is my data stored?
On your own server, in a local SQLite database. Nothing goes to the cloud and nothing comes to us.
Does anything need to be installed on the printers?
No. PressGlance reads the printers over the network and changes nothing in their settings.
Do I need an internet connection?
Not for it to work. The licence works offline too: it's tied to your server.
What does PressGlance run on?
On Windows, as a Windows service. A PC or server that is always on and can reach your printers is enough. You open the dashboard in a browser on any device on your network.
How does PressGlance count pages?
From the jobs the printer itself reports, spread over the run time of each job. If you connect the network share with your source PDFs, PressGlance reads the real page count from the file.
Can I show the dashboard on a wall-mounted TV?
Yes. TV mode shows only the cards, large and readable from a distance. The live dashboard can stay open without logging in; everything else stays password-protected.
What's the difference between maintenance and an error?
Maintenance is work the printer does itself, such as cleaning the print head or calibrating. An error is a problem someone has to fix, such as an empty tray. PressGlance shows them in different colours and doesn't count maintenance as a fault.
Which languages is PressGlance available in?
English, French, German and Dutch.
Can I monitor multiple sites?
Yes. You group printers by site and view the dashboard and statistics per site.
How is PressGlance priced?
Per printer, with yearly maintenance for updates and support. Ask for a quote for a tailored price.
